There goes the fear, let it go.

Think of me when you close your eyes
But don't look back when you break all ties
Think of me when you're coming down
But don't look back when leaving town today...

So, the past two weeks then.

Last Saturday was spent at TGI Friday's consuming a large number of cocktails and planning my 18th.

Last Sunday was spent in Bar Bloc for the second meet for To Write Love On Her Arms - had such a great time once again. Most of the people from last year were there as well as some newbies... there was a really good atmosphere in the place, all introducing ourselves, telling stories, revealing our celebrity doppelgangers etc. It's almost like a little community and we were all there to support a really great cause. We're going to meet up again in another 3 months and try to start campaigning more prominently (ie leaving flyer's and posters all over Glasgow) - most definitely looking forward to it!

This weekend was good. Saturday in particular.
Went to a party/BBQ, went to see Doves and then came back to said party/BBQ.

Doves. Oh. My. God. What an amazing night.

We were on the guestlist which, I must say, is one of the coolest feelings ever and because of this we did have invites to the after show party (oh if only we didn't have to go back to the BBQ party...) which was kind of crazy. The support act, Cherry Ghost, were really good as well and set a really good tone for the rest of the night. The place was packed, I honestly don't think I've ever seen Carling as full as it was that night. We managed to get right to the front (just one/two people between us and the barrier) which was probably the best place to be... the entire standing section just absolutely kicked off. Everybody was dancing, singing, joining arms, jumping up and down - not a single person in that area was standing still the entire night. Sheer craziness in the best way possible. The set list was amazing and they sound fantastic live. I think they really loved the crowd that night 'cause they came on for a second encore - especially after the whole place just erupted after the opening lines of There Goes The Fear... lovelovelovelovedit. What a night.
